Rajasthan: In an India first time that planes and drones will be used to aginst the locust attack in Rajasthan, said project director, Agricultural Technology Management Agency, B.R. Karwa, today.
The Union minister for agriculture Kailash Chowdhary has asked the DGCA to help the government with planes and drones. It helps to fight against the locust from a height by spraying pesticides, he said.
And locusts have changed their attack strategy and are flying at a top height against their basic nature to fly in the low lying areas.
On today morning, the residents of Jaipur are attacked by a swarm of locusts and which invaded so many places in the city. locusts attack was not particular to one colony but were an attack in many areas of the city.
In Rajasthan's 33 districts are affected by invasion by the crop-munching insect's locusts, officials said. In the summer months, this is the first time that locusts have attack residential areas of the city.
The locusts entered Jaipur in the winter of 1993 and after that three decades, now they have attacked the city in summer by Karwa said.

Before, the breeding places of locusts were African countries and hence they have to take time to reach India. But, now the locusts Pakistan-Afghan border becoming their breeding places, And now easily entering Rajasthan via Pakistan.
